China Law & Practice awarded Paul, Weiss "International Telecommunications, Media & Technology Firm of the Year" at the China Law & Practice Awards 2014. Corporate partner Greg Liu and associate Abra Murray received the award. The firm was also shortlisted for "International Private Equity team of the Year" and two "TMT Deals of the Year" for our involvement in Suning and Hony Capital's acquisition of PPTV as well as Tencent's acquisition of a stake in Sogou from Sohu. The awards, in their eighth year where over 200 leading legal professional attend, took place at the JW Marriott in Beijing on September 18, 2014.
