Paul, Weiss Recognized for Two Deals at The American Lawyer’s Global Legal Awards

The American Lawyer honored Paul, Weiss for two transactions at its 2015 Global Legal Awards. The firm was awarded "Global M&A Deal of the Year: Canada" for Burger King's merger with Tim Hortons and "Global Finance Deal of the Year: Restructuring (U.S.)" for its work for Capital Research on the NII Holdings restructuring. The Global Legal Awards recognize the most important cross-border matters of 2015 and the law firms that handled them. The firm was recognized at the awards dinner on September 28 in New York City.
The Paul, Weiss team, which acted as tax counsel to Burger King for the merger, included, among others, tax partner Jeffrey Samuels and counsel Alyssa Wolpin.
