Paul, Weiss was recognized in two categories at The American Lawyer's fourth annual Global Legal Awards. The firm was awarded "Global M&A Deal of the Year: Offshore" for its work advising EXOR in its $6.9 billion successful unsolicited cash bid for PartnerRe Ltd, and "Global Finance Deal of the Year: Private Restructuring" for the firm's work as U.S. counsel to the Winding-up Board of Glitnir Bank hf, in the former Icelandic bank's chapter 15 case.
The Global Legal Awards recognize the most important cross-border matters of 2015 and the law firms that handled them. The firm will be recognized at the awards dinner on September 26 in New York City.
