FedEx to Acquire GENCO Distribution System

FedEx Corp. announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Paul, Weiss client GENCO Distribution System, Inc. GENCO, a privately held company, is one of the largest third-party logistics providers in North America. The transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to close in the first quarter of 2015.
The Paul, Weiss team acting as legal counsel to GENCO included, among others, corporate partners Toby Myerson and Tarun Stewart and counsel Scott Grader; tax partner David Mayo; intellectual property counsel Menachem Kaplan; real estate partner Mitchell Berg; litigation partner Moses Silverman; and environmental counsel William O'Brien.
