Krishna Veeraraghavan Discusses Activist Settlements in Financial Times’ Agenda

Corporate partner Krishna Veeraraghavan spoke about recent trends in settlements with activist shareholders with Agenda, a Financial Times specialty publication for corporate boards. In “Are There Dangers in Settling with Activists Too Quickly?”, published in the May 2022 issue of Agenda, Krishna discusses key considerations for when to settle with activists, and common terms that boards might encounter in settlement agreements.

“There aren’t any major dangers in settling quickly, if the decision has been fully vetted and considered by the board,” says Krishna. “It is important for boards to think about what a settlement will mean for the company, i.e., a possible addition to the board and other concessions that could potentially disrupt a company’s strategy or execution.”
