Apollo Affiliated Funds Acquire Protection 1 and ASG Security

Funds managed by affiliates of Paul, Weiss client Apollo Global Management, LLC announced the concurrent closing of their acquisitions of Maryland-based ASG Security and Protection 1, a leading full-service business and home security company in the United States. The combined companies will continue to operate under the Protection 1 brand, enabling Apollo to enter the security monitoring industry with a market leader generating total annual revenue in excess of $500 million. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
