Apollo Affiliated Funds to Acquire Certain OM Group Segments

Funds managed by affiliates of Paul, Weiss client Apollo Global Management, LLC announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire the Advanced Organics, Magnetic Technologies and Battery Technologies segments of OM Group, Inc. through a reverse triangular merger. The Apollo affiliated funds also agreed to sell the Electronic Chemicals and Photomasks segments of OM Group to Platform Specialty Products Corporation. Cleveland-based OM Group is a technology-driven industrial company serving attractive global markets, including automotive systems, electronic devices, aerospace and defense, industrial and medical.
