Oak Hill to Acquire Checkers Drive-In Restaurants

As reported in The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and other media outlets, Paul, Weiss is acting for Oak Hill Capital Partners in its acquisition of Checkers Drive-In Restaurants Inc. from Sentinel Capital Partners. Checkers is one of the nation’s leading operators and franchisors of drive-through hamburger restaurants, with approximately 840 locations in 29 states. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2017, subject to customary closing conditions and approvals. Upon closing, Checkers’s management team will continue running the company.
