Real estate partners Mitchell Berg and Peter Fisch's Transactional Real Estate column appeared in the February 18 issue of the New York Law Journal. The article, "Sale-Leaseback Transactions," notes the increasing frequency with which sale-leasebacks have been implemented over the last several years, driven in part by a proliferation of real estate investment trusts and other institutional buyers seeking the stable returns these transactions provide. The article discusses several strategies lessees use to maximize operating and transactional flexibility under the lease. Real estate associate Vincent Asaro assisted in the preparation of this article.
