Real estate partners Mitchell Berg and Peter Fisch’s transactional real estate column, “Proposed EB-5 Visa Program Reforms,” was published in the July 12 issue of the New York Law Journal. While the authors note that the EB-5 visa program has become a major source of real estate financing nationwide, and in particular for large real estate development projects in New York City such as Hudson Yards in Manhattan, the New York Wheel on Staten Island and the Pacific Park development in Brooklyn, they also discusses proposed changes to the program's rules that could imperil what has been a reliable source of funding. Real estate associate Scott Rosenthal and summer associate Jose Argueta Funes assisted in the preparation of this article.
