A partner in the Corporate Department and a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group, Rachael G. Coffey focuses her practice on advising public and private companies as well as private equity clients on a broad range of M&A transactions, activist defense and other significant corporate matters. Rachael’s extensive experience also includes representing boards of directors and special committees in contested situations.

- Chevron in its proposed acquisition of Anadarko Petroleum
- CSRA in its sale to General Dynamics
- Focus Brands, a portfolio company of Roark Capital Group, in its acquisition of Jamba Juice
- Honeywell International in the spin-off of its Turbochargers business into Garrett Motion
- Inspire Brands, a portfolio company of Roark Capital Group, in its acquisition of Dunkin’ Brands Group, the parent company of Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins
- The special committee of the Invitation Homes board of directors in its merger of equals with Starwood Waypoint Homes
- JACK Entertainment in the sale of Greektown Casino-Hotel to Penn National Gaming and VICI Properties; the sale of JACK Cleveland Casino and JACK Thistledown Racino to VICI Properties; the sale of JACK Cincinnati Casino to Hard Rock International; and the sale of Turfway Park to Churchill Downs
- Kraft Heinz in the pending sale of its natural, grated, cultured and specialty cheese businesses to Groupe Lactalis
