M&A Group Global Co-Head Krishna Veeraraghavan spoke with Reuters about an increase in global M&A volumes so far in 2024 compared to 2023. In “Global M&A Picks Up in Q1 After Flurry of Large Deals,” published on March 28, Krishna notes that private equity is “the missing ingredient” in a broader market resurgence, as leveraged buy-outs continue to lag amid high interest rates, which have raised financing costs. “You still are seeing a mismatch between what sellers expect their assets to transact for and what buyers are willing to pay based on where rates are right now,” he says.
