Corporate partners Dotun Obadina and Carmen Lu will participate in Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law’s 46th Annual Ray Garrett Jr. Corporate & Securities Law Institute, which provides private practitioners and corporate counsel with a timely analysis of critical corporate and securities law developments confronting public corporations. Dotun is on the institute’s planning committee and will take part in a panel, “M&A Hot Topics,” which will examine key M&A trends, deal drivers, negotiation strategies and risk allocation in today’s evolving market. Carmen will join an invitation-only roundtable discussion, “New Activists and New Rules for Engagement,” which will explore how a new generation of activist investors, shifting regulatory frameworks and evolving stewardship practices are reshaping shareholder engagement and activism defense strategies.
The conference will take place in Chicago, October 1-2. Dotun’s panel will begin at 2:35 p.m. CT on October 1; Carmen’s roundtable will start at 8 a.m. CT on October 2.
