An associate in the Litigation Department and a member of the Supreme Court & Appellate Litigation Practice Group, Anna Goodman Lucardi represents parties in complex civil and criminal matters in federal and state courts nationwide. She has litigated a wide range of high-stakes matters, including class actions, antitrust, constitutional, white collar, bankruptcy, civil rights, employment, and criminal defense matters. She also maintains a robust pro bono practice.
Prior to joining Paul, Weiss, Anna clerked for Judge Raymond W. Gruender of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and Judge Gregory K. Frizzell of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma. She also previously served as the Bingham Fellow at the Institute for Justice and as an appellate fellow at a nationally recognized appellate boutique. In law school, Anna served as the Literary Citation Editor for the Pepperdine Law Review and co-chair of the moot court team.
Anna’s significant representations include:
- Healthcare providers in an Eleventh Circuit case involving the constitutionality of the False Claims Act’s qui tam provision;
- New York State Unified Court System in a series of appeals concerning employee union disputes arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic;
- National banking entities in an appeal involving the New York False Claims Act
- A civil rights litigant seeking Supreme Court review of scope of the Rooker-Feldman doctrine; and
- A biotechnology company in a series of appeals defending a bankruptcy court-approved sale.
