An associate in the Litigation Department and a member of the Supreme Court & Appellate Litigation Group, Anna represents parties, including major technology firms, in complex civil matters in federal and state courts. She has argued cases before six federal courts of appeals and has represented clients before several others. Her appellate work has touched on issues involving constitutional, antitrust, administrative and securities law, and federal court procedure.
Prior to joining Paul, Weiss, Anna was an attorney with the Civil Division, Appellate Staff, of the U.S. Department of Justice for two years, following clerkships with Judges Paul J. Watford of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Vince Chhabria of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
Anna’s significant representations include:
- a foreign audiovisual and multimedia company in a Ninth Circuit breach-of-contract appeal resulting in the reversal of a $26 million jury verdict;
- Meta in a federal district court case concerning the use of copyrighted materials to train artificial intelligence models; and
- being appointed amicus curiae to the Ninth Circuit in an appeal from a dismissal of a petition for return under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
