Ben Ong frequently works on complex, cross-border debt and restructuring matters across a wide range of jurisdictions, including the United States and Europe.
Ben has advised a range of clients on informal workout transactions and formal processes, including private equity sponsors in relation to consensual and non-consensual restructurings of portfolio company financings, insolvency officeholders in relation to successful business rescue and turnaround efforts, and various lenders regarding the enforcement, restructuring and workout of asset-backed facilities.
Ben’s recent representative experience includes:
- Mitel Networks Corporation, a global leader in business communications, on the European aspects of its chapter 11 process
- Graanul Invest, a leading European producer of sustainable wood pellets, on the A&E of its €630 million of senior secured notes and €100 million super senior RCF
- An ad hoc group of noteholders on the restructuring of New Fortress Energy, a global energy infrastructure company
