Edmund Berney is an associate in the Intellectual Property & Technology Transactions Group. He focuses on advising on M&A transactions and the acquisition, licensing, development and commercialisation of technology and IP, as well as on commercial contracts.

Edmund has advised on complex carve-outs, joint ventures, and major licensing and development projects, and he has negotiated contracts relating to pharmaceutical licensing and supply, joint development, innovation and collaboration projects, and transitional and long-term services arrangements. Edmund has also advised on numerous transactions on behalf of private equity firms and private and public companies across a variety of industries, including emerging technologies and software (including AI), pharmaceuticals and life sciences, fashion and retail, financial services, and industrials and manufacturing. Edmund has also advised on data protection and technology regulation.
