Katya Stynes is an associate in the Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions Group and the Artificial Intelligence Group. She focuses on AI transactions and the intellectual property, regulatory and other liability risks arising from the development and deployment of AI systems. She advises clients on AI-related strategic transactions and commercial agreements, as well as copyright, data access and platform liability issues. Katya was seconded as counsel to OpenAI, where she worked with product, transactional and litigation teams on IP risk mitigation and legal frameworks for emerging technology.
While in law school, Katya was an editor of The Yale Law Journal and researched issues in data privacy and cybersecurity.
