Andrew D. Krause is a partner in the Corporate Department and a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group. He advises on mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, joint ventures and other significant transactions for a diverse range of clients, including public and private companies, private equity funds and financial institutions. Andrew’s practice also includes advising clients on corporate governance and activist defense matters.

Andrew was recognized as a 2022 “Rising Star of the Year” by the International Financial Law Review.

EXPERIENCE

Andrew’s experience includes advising:

  • 3G Capital in its acquisition of Hunter Douglas
  • Amazon.com in its acquisition of One Medical and its pending acquisition of iRobot
  • Aptiv in the establishment of Motional, a joint venture with Hyundai to develop autonomous driving vehicle technology
  • The special committee of the board of directors of CBS in its merger with Viacom to form ViacomCBS Inc. (now Paramount Global)
  • Continental Grain Company in its joint venture with Cargill to acquire Sanderson Farms
  • General Electric in:
    • its sale of its biopharma business to Danaher
    • its combination of its jet leasing unit, GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), with AerCap Holdings
    • its reorganization through spin-offs into separate publicly traded aviation, healthcare and energy companies
  • IG Group Holdings in its acquisition of tastytrade
  • M. Klein & Company in the proposed sale of its investment banking business, The Klein Group, to Credit Suisse Group
  • Nuance Communications in its sale to Microsoft
  • Oak Hill Capital Partners in its take-private acquisition of Otelco Inc., its partnership with NetSpeed and its strategic partnership with Ontario & Trumansburg Telephone Companies
