Head of the Los Angeles office and Global Co-Chair of the firm’s Finance and Capital Markets group, Eric Wedel has adeptly represented top-tier private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in some of the largest and most complex acquisition financings for over two decades. Over the course of his career, Eric has advised on more than 200 completed financings with a combined value exceeding $150 billion.

Recently, Forbes named Eric to its inaugural “America’s Top 200 Lawyers” which highlights lawyers that have emerged as leaders in their fields, where he was recognized in the field of Private Equity. His reputation in the banking and finance realms has been widely recognized, including in Chambers USA, where clients note that Eric is “known to be one of the best sponsors’ counsels on the street,” and describe him as “an absolute all-star” who has “done an outstanding job.” Eric has also been consistently recognized by The Legal 500 for Commercial Lending and was selected as a “Notable Practitioner” by IFLR1000. He has represented many of the industry’s leading private equity firms, with representative clients including Warburg Pincus, KKR, Hg Capital, Stone Point Capital, Stonepeak, Thomas H. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Eric is deeply committed to civic engagement and actively involved in numerous charitable organizations. Currently, he serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of Arizona Foundation and the Board of Directors of NYPACE and The Foundation for Education in Honduras (FEIH).
