Richard Schwartz is a partner in the firm’s Mergers & Acquisition Group. His practice focuses on advising public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, carve-outs and other significant transactions. He also advises clients on corporate governance and general corporate matters.

Richard’s experience includes advising:

  • Altra Industrial Motion in its $3 billion combination with Fortive’s Automation and & Specialty Platform
  • Artel in its acquisition by Advanced Instruments, a Patricia Industries company and part of Investor AB
  • Cano Health shareholders, including members of management, in the $4.4 billion SPAC merger with Jaws Acquisition Corp., including an $800 million PIPE investment
  • CompoSecure in the spin-off of its subsidiary Resolute Holdings Management to form a differentiated alternative asset management platform
  • CymaBay Therapeutics in its $4.3 billion sale to Gilead Sciences
  • Exyte in its acquisition of Critical Process Systems Group from Wynnchurch Capital
  • Forward Air in its amended agreement to acquire Omni Logistics, creating a $3.7 billion company
  • GasLog Ltd. in its acquisition of GasLog Partners and its take-private transaction with BlackRock’s Global Energy & Power Infrastructure Fund
  • GreenSky in its $2.2 billion sale to Goldman Sachs
  • IBM in connection with various transactions, including its sale of healthcare data and analytics assets to Francisco Partners and its acquisition of Octo from Arlington Capital Partners
