On May 3, in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month, Paul, Weiss hosted a virtual chat between litigation partner and former U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson, and Rich Verma, general counsel and head of global public policy at Mastercard and former U.S. Ambassador to India. Over 130 attendees from Paul, Weiss and Mastercard joined the event. Their discussion encompassed the intersection of their illustrious careers, focusing on Ambassador Verma’s reflections on 25 years of international experience across senior levels of business, law, diplomacy and the military. Highlights included a discussion on Ambassador Verma’s service in India, where he led one of the largest American diplomatic missions and championed historic progress in bilateral cooperation on defense, trade and clean energy.
