Litigation partner Ian Richardson will participate in a panel of former federal prosecutors at the American Conference Institute’s inaugural forum on cartels, transnational criminal organizations and compliance in Latin America. Ian’s session, “Former Prosecutor Panel: The New Civil and Criminal Liability Risks at the Forefront,” will examine how the U.S. government’s designation of cartels as foreign terrorist organizations exposes companies operating in Latin America to legal risk from U.S. laws prohibiting material support to foreign terrorist organizations, money laundering and violations of economic sanctions, and civil suits under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
The forum will take place in Washington, D.C., on July 20 and 21; Ian’s panel will be on July 20 at 4:45 p.m. ET.
