Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP announced today that Michael Darby has joined the firm as a partner in the M&A Group within the Corporate Department. Darby advises corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, securities laws and Delaware law matters.

Darby’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and a range of other significant corporate matters, including matters pertaining to securities laws, corporate governance, activism defense and Delaware law. He has represented clients across the life sciences, industrials, financial services, consumer and retail, technology and energy industries, among others. His recent representations include advising Select Medical in its take-private transaction; the special committee of Enfusion’s board of directors in its acquisition by Clearwater Analytics; Energy Harbor in its acquisition by Vistra; Chiesi Farmaceutici in its acquisition of Amryt Pharma; and Quest Diagnostics in numerous transactions, including its acquisition of select assets from Fresenius Medical Care and the sale of its ownership interest in Q2 Solutions to IQVIA.
