Corporate partner Tom Levine spoke with TMT Finance ahead of the TMT Finance EMEA 2026 conference, where Tom will moderate a headline interview. In the article, “Tom Levine, partner at Paul, Weiss, on the trends shaping digital infra investments in 2026,” published on January 20, Tom touched on various trends in the digital infrastructure space, including investment in AI infrastructure, contractual and diligence risks for buyers of GPU-as-a-service, the prospects for consolidation in national and cross-border telecom markets, the use of delayering as an M&A strategy, European versus U.S. AI training capacity, and the challenge of power as a constraint for data centers, among other topics. In considering the next phase of deals as towers and core infrastructure consolidation slows, Tom notes, “the more adventurous transactions will be for investors who are prepared to venture higher up the value chain, into active infrastructure.”
