TMT Finance recognized Paul, Weiss as a finalist seven times in the publication’s USA awards, which highlight excellence in dealmaking and investment in the digital infrastructure space. The firm is a finalist in the Towers Deal of the Year category for advising Crown Castle on the sale of its small cells solutions business to Arium Networks, an EQT Active Core Infrastructure fund company, which was led by partners Andrew Krause, Nickolas Bogdanovich and Scott Barshay. The firm also advised on four deals named as finalists for Fiber Deal of the Year (M&A): MetroNet’s sale to a T-Mobile and KKR joint venture, led by partners Brian Lavin, Angelo Bonvino and Ji Lu; Brookfield Infrastructure’s acquisition of Hotwire Communications, led by partners Ravi Purohit and Michael Spirtos; Frontier Communications’ acquisition by Verizon, led by partners Jeff Marell and Stan Richards; and Crown Castle’s sale of its fiber segment to Zayo Group Holdings Inc., led by partners Andrew Krause, Nickolas Bogdanovich and Scott Barshay.
These recognitions follow TMT Finance’s previous shortlist announcements, which named Paul, Weiss a finalist for LatAm Deal of the Year for advising SBA Communications on its acquisition of Millicom International Cellular S.A.’s tower portfolio in Central America, and corporate partner Ravi Purohit a finalist for Lawyer of the Year.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony in New York on October 7.
