Paul, Weiss Receives Voices of Courage Award from WRC

On May 2, Paul, Weiss was honored by the Women’s Refugee Commission (WRC) for its pro bono contributions and commitment to protecting the rights of women and children seeking safety in the United States. In honoring the firm with its 2019 Voices of Courage Award, WRC highlighted Paul, Weiss’s significant role in the ACLU’s class action on behalf of separated parents, where the firm has led a steering committee to address the interests of parents who were deported without their children following separation. WRC is one of three nonprofit organizations that has collaborated with the firm in the effort, which has involved more than 100 Paul, Weiss attorneys to date. Litigation counsel Steven Herzog accepted the award on the firm’s behalf at the event, held at Cipriani in New York.
