Paul, Weiss and Bridgewater Associates Attorneys Collaborate on Virtual Pro Bono Clinic With HIAS

Paul, Weiss, in collaboration with The Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS), a Jewish American nonprofit that provides humanitarian aid and assistance to refugees, hosted a virtual clinic to train Paul, Weiss and Bridgewater lawyers to assist refugees in gaining lawful permanent residency status. The event began with an address from partner Andrew Ehrlich who emphasized the importance of contributing to pro bono matters during times of crisis and highlighted the firm’s dedication to assisting vulnerable migrants and refugees, particularly considering current events.

In the coming weeks, our attorneys will work alongside members of Bridgewater’s legal department to interview refugee clients and prepare legal documents to assist in their adjustment of status applications. Clients this year included refugees from Russia, Syria, and Myanmar.

The Paul, Weiss team includes corporate counsel Gabriella Toossi; corporate associates Alice Blain, Jenna Cantarella, Zach Denkensohn, Andrew Forgy, Daina Goldenberg, Keerthika Subramanian, Diana Windrim; executive compensation associate Sofya Bakradze; and tax associate Isy Le Blanc. The team is supervised by Andrew Ehrlich. The clinic was coordinated by pro bono attorney Emily Donohoe.
