Paul, Weiss Hosts Training on Assisting Victims of Anti-Asian Violence for AABANY

On July 22, Paul, Weiss hosted a training with the Asian American Bar Association of New York’s Anti-Asian Violence Task Force (AAVTF) on how to provide legal assistance to victims of anti-Asian violence. Personal representation associate Renee Stern-Kaplan, and litigation associates Johan Tatoy and Jennifer Kim discussed their experiences representing victims of anti-Asian violence. Topics included working with District Attorneys, elected officials, and the media; building trust and cultivating relationships with the families; dealing with trusts and estates and probate issues; assisting the families in accepting financial help; and navigating immigration issues, among other topics.
