    • Dealmaker of the Year” for the firm's work representing French oilfield services company CGG S.A. in its chapter 11 cases, among the largest restructurings in French history and the first-ever successful coordination of a French “Sauvegarde” proceeding with a U.S. chapter 11 case. (2018)
    • Global Finance Deal of the Year: Insolvency and Restructuring (U.K.) for the firm's work as U.S. counsel to EnQuest plc in connection with a restructuring of the company's approximately $1.8 billion of debt obligations through proceedings in the U.K and the U.S. (2017)
    • Global Finance Deal of the Year: Private Restructuring for the firm's work as U.S. counsel to the Winding-up Board of Glitnir Bank hf, in the former Icelandic bank's chapter 15 case. (2016)
  • Paul, Weiss was named one of the most innovative law firms in the U.S. in a Financial Times competition that included 60 percent of the AmLaw 50, and 40 percent of the AmLaw 100 firms. The award specifically acknowledged our ability to consistently craft creative solutions to meet our clients' strategic objectives in this challenging environment, and the impact of our work on shaping the law so that our clients can effectively grow their businesses.
    • In 2015, recognition of our role in the complex out-of-court restructuring of Preferred Sands as Commended.
    • In 2014, recognition of our role helping creditors recapitalize CEVA Group via a complex U.S., U.K. and Cayman Islands process to keep the company from bankruptcy as Highly Commended.
    • In 2012, recognition of our representation of Ericsson in its structuring of a consortium to purchase Nortel's patent portfolio as Highly Commended and our representation of a committee of senior bondholders in the chapter 11 case of Dynegy Holdings as

    • In 2010, recognition of our representation of the junior bondholders of Charter Communications in its prearranged chapter 11 case as Stand-out (top tier) and our representation of bondholders in CIT Group's prepackaged bankruptcy as Highly Commended.
  • International Financial Law Review 1000 (IFLR1000) 
    • Selected Sears as its "Deal of the Year: Restructuring and Insolvency" for 2020. We represented the restructuring subcommittee for the board of directors of Sears in the company's chapter 11 cases.
    • Awarded M&A Deal of the Year for its role in the Rockstar Bidco Consortium $4.5 billion acquisition of Nortel Networks. Our team was lead adviser for the consortium that was comprised of Apple, Ericsson, Microsoft, Research In Motion, Sony and EMC Corporation.     • Selected the CIFG Holding, Ltd. restructuring as its Restructuring Deal of the Year at its 2009 IFLR Americas Awards. We represented equity owners Banque Populaire Group and Caisse d'Epargne Group in the restructuring of bond insurer CIFG Holding, Ltd.
  • The Deal Magazine selected the restructuring of CIT Group and the Charter Communications bankruptcy as two of its Deals of the Year for 2009, recognizing our role in each matter.
