Brendon Smith is a partner in the Investment Funds Group. Brendon focuses on the formation and operation of a variety of private investment funds, including private equity funds, buyout funds, hybrid funds, credit funds, infrastructure funds, hedge funds, secondary funds and other types of alternative asset funds.
Brendon also has experience advising clients on a wide range of fund formation issues, including the development and marketing of funds to U.S. and non-U.S. investors, and related regulatory and compliance matters. In addition to advising on fund formation and operational issues, Brendon advises fund managers on all aspects of the business of alternative asset management, including “upper tier” arrangements, co-investments, secondary transactions, investment management M&A transactions, other strategic arrangements and regulatory issues relating to private funds and fund sponsors.
