An associate in the Litigation Department, Emily Cox represents clients in high-stakes, complex corporate and commercial litigation in state and federal court. Emily represents individual and corporate clients in the Delaware Court of Chancery in expedited direct and derivative disputes involving mergers and acquisitions, fiduciary duties of directors, officers and controlling stockholders, alternative entities, breach of contract claims and statutory actions arising under Sections 220 and 225 of the Delaware General Corporation Law. She also handles complex commercial litigation and regulatory matters, including antitrust and securities class actions, cross-border disputes, bankruptcy proceedings and investigations by federal regulatory agencies. In addition to her litigation practice, Emily counsels clients throughout the transaction life cycle and on corporate governance matters.
Emily maintains an active pro bono practice representing clients in connection with immigration, criminal and appellate matters. She guest lectures at Widener University Delaware Law School. In law school, Emily served as articles editor for the Georgia Law Review and received the Martin-Carnes Prize for Excellence in Writing.
