An associate in the Restructuring Department, Kyle Satterfield advises corporate debtors, distressed investors, creditor groups and private equity sponsors in a broad range of restructuring matters, including chapter 11 cases, out-of-court workouts, liability management exercises, cross-border insolvencies and distressed acquisitions, as well as related litigation. Kyle has extensive experience across a number of industries, including retail, cryptocurrency, technology and healthcare, as well as the utility, automotive and aerospace sectors.

In law school, Kyle served as editor in chief of the Tulane Law Review. He has published scholarship on a variety of legal issues, and his work has been cited in several prestigious journals, including the Vanderbilt Law Review, the Washington University Law Review, the Notre Dame Law Review and the Oregon Law Review. Kyle’s research on the historical background of Louisiana’s nonunanimous criminal jury verdict law has been recognized as an important contribution to the ultimately successful movement to overturn the law, and Kyle has been cited as an authority in the relevant litigation.

Kyle serves in board roles and leadership positions for several community organizations in New York City, and he is actively involved in various local and global philanthropic efforts.
