Lindsey L. Wiersma is a partner in the Corporate Department and a member of the firm's Private Funds Group. Lindsey focuses her practice on the organization and operation of a variety of private investment funds, including buyout funds, hedge funds, hybrid funds, distressed funds, credit funds, structured product funds, co-investment funds and funds of funds. In addition to advising on a wide range of fund formation issues, she also advises fund managers on regulatory issues, management company “upper tier” arrangements, investment management M&A transactions, seeding arrangements and secondary transactions.

In 2023, she co-chaired Practising Law Institute’s 23rd Annual Private Equity Forum, and she has also participated in events hosted by American Investment Council and the Women’s Private Equity SummitThe Legal 500 deemed Lindsey a “Recommended Lawyer” in both private equity and alternative/hedge funds, and Chambers USA recognizes Lindsey as an industry leader in private equity fund formation, with clients highlighting that she is “a great person to have on your team and is particularly strong technically.”

Lindsey served on the New York City Bar Association’s Committee on Investment Management Regulation. She also served as a notes editor for the Duke Law Journal.
