Nicole Kar

Nicole Kar is Global Co-Head of the Antitrust Department. She advises on global merger investigations from an antitrust and foreign investment screening standpoint and has led over 40 significant merger reviews before the UK and European authorities; as well as advising on cartel, abuse of dominance and consumer law investigations and consequential litigation, particularly in the UK’s Competition Appeal Tribunal; compliance issues; and self-reporting to financial and other regulators. Nicole is recognized as a leading adviser in relation to complex foreign investment screening reviews and has secured clearances for clients involving sensitive assets from a national security viewpoint.

Rich Pepper

Rich Pepper

Rich's practice covers the full spectrum of antitrust work, including global merger control, foreign direct investment reviews, cartel and behavioral investigations, and strategic antitrust counselling. He has advised leading institutional investors, private equity firms, and multinational corporations on landmark transactions such as ArcelorMittal’s acquisition of Ilva, Dow’s merger with DuPont, and United Technologies’ merger with Raytheon. Rich’s ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and his pragmatic approach make him a trusted advisor.

Henrik Morch

Henrik Morch

Henrik brings over thirty years of experience from the European Commission, most recently as Director for Transport, Post, and Other Services at DG Comp. He has led major antitrust policy and enforcement initiatives, including merger control investigations, market sector inquiries, state aid cases, and legislative proposals. Henrik’s deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and his strategic insight make him an invaluable resource for both our team and our clients.

Ross Ferguson

Ross Ferguson

Ross specializes in advising private equity, funds, and public companies on cross-border transactions, antitrust investigations, and regulatory filings. He has played a pivotal role in high-profile deals, including Blackstone's acquisition of Atlantia and EQT's acquisition of Dechra PLC, and has advised on some of the first cases under the new EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation. Ross’s meticulous approach and ability to manage multifaceted legal matters ensure our clients receive the highest level of support.

Annie Herdman

Annie Herdman

Annie Herdman advises clients on EU, UK and multijurisdictional merger control, foreign direct investment and EU foreign subsidies strategy and filings, as well as on EU and UK cartel investigations and antitrust compliance. Annie has acted for leading private equity firms and companies in matters before the European Commission, UK Competition and Markets Authority and global antitrust and foreign direct investment agencies. She currently serves as co-chair of the International Chamber of Commerce’s Merger Control Task Force.

Over the course of your six-month traineeship, you will become an integral part of our antitrust team, with exposure to both our Brussels and London offices.
