Litigation partner Brette Tannenbaum and counsel Dan Sinnreich were recognized in The American Lawyer’s “Litigation Daily” column for securing the dismissal, with prejudice and without leave to amend, of a putative securities class action against South Korean ecommerce giant Coupang, Inc. The plaintiffs had brought a sprawling complaint concerning Coupang’s 2021 IPO, which valued the company at over $60 billion at the time. The complete defense victory the Paul, Weiss team achieved is a very rare result on a first motion to dismiss, especially in a securities class action of this size and complexity. The Paul, Weiss team also included litigation associates Connor Ritschard and Morgan Mason, who is currently on secondment.
