General Atlantic Leads Funding Round for ICEYE

Paul, Weiss is advising General Atlantic as leader of a €450 million primary Series F funding round in Helsinki-based ICEYE, the world’s foremost provider of space-based intelligence. Additional investors in the round, valuing the company at over €10 billion, include Solidium, Tesi, Varma, Ilmarinen, Lifeline Ventures and Nokia, all Finnish companies, as well as Qatar Investment Authority and TCV. Together with a secondary placement, the total fundraising round for ICEYE exceeds €1 billion. Seven governments across Europe have procured sovereign satellite systems from ICEYE to date; proceeds from the funding round will drive the expansion of ICEYE’s global footprint and deepen its intelligence capabilities.
