Litigation partners Liza Velazquez and Pietro Signoracci and intellectual property partner Jonathan Ashtor will take part in the “Trade Secrets, Non-Competes and Other Competitive Restrictions—The Latest Word!” conference hosted by Sandpiper Partners LLC.
Liza will moderate two panels. One, “Trade Secrets in the Courtroom: Civil Litigation and Damages,” will also feature Jonathan as a panelist. The panel will cover practical strategies for handling trade secrets lawsuits, including the complexities caused by AI-related trade secrets. Liza will also moderate “The In-House Perspective on Trade Secrets in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” which will explore how AI has impacted the analysis of what is considered a trade secret or confidential information, and how companies are educating their employees on the appropriate use of AI.
Pietro will be a panelist on “Non-Competes and Other Restrictive Covenants: New Challenges,” which will survey recent regulatory and legislative developments and touch on topical issues such as garden leave provisions and separation agreements.
The conference, co-sponsored by Paul, Weiss, will take place at Paul, Weiss’s New York office on March 11.
