In “5 Tips To Help Employers Get The Most Out Of DEI Audits,” published on October 4, Loretta discusses how audits can help organizations evaluate their approaches to diversity, equity and inclusion and prepare for potential legal challenges.

“People will begin to use these audits as a way to assess where they are, not just in their DEI journey but where they want to be, and also assess any attendant risks within the programs,” says Loretta.

Loretta also discusses the importance of gaining feedback from relevant stakeholders, including employees, during an audit. Conducting targeted interviews of those who are implementing the programs and those who are the intended beneficiaries is “one of the best ways to assess any discrepancies between the formal policies and day-to-day practices,” Loretta notes.
