Ross Gotler and Judge Robert Dow Present on Civil Rules Amendments at Sedona Conference Annual Meeting

Deputy Chair and Counsel, E-Discovery Ross Gotler led a discussion on October 27 with U.S. District Court Judge Robert M. Dow Jr. at the annual meeting of The Sedona Conference in Philadelphia on the status of proposed amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Ross and Judge Dow, who is the outgoing chair of the Federal Advisory Committee on Civil Rules and the incoming Counselor to Chief Justice John Roberts, spoke on the topics of management of multidistrict litigations, privilege logging, filing of records under seal, initial disclosures and the timing of new rules and amendments.

The Sedona Conference and its Working Group 1 on discovery is the leading think tank on law and practice relating to electronic discovery; its commentaries are regularly cited by judges and continue to influence the development of rules of evidence and civil procedure for federal and state courts.
