Secretary Johnson to Co-Chair Newly Launched Forum to Protect Digital Democracy

Litigation partner Jeh Johnson will join former Sen. Kelly Ayotte and former U.S. Deputy Chief Technology Officer Nicole Wong as co-chairs of the Digital Freedom Forum, a newly launched effort as part of the Center for a New American Security’s (CNAS) Countering High-Tech Illiberalism project. The Forum will identify solutions to protect digital democracy in the U.S. and abroad by drawing on a range of perspectives from leaders in government, business and academia. “Digital authoritarianism presents a real threat to the interests and values of the United States and democracies everywhere. As a long-time board member of CNAS, I am happy to co-chair this bipartisan effort to find solutions to an increasingly urgent problem,” said Jeh.
