Harvard University Elects Ted Wells to the Harvard Corporation

Harvard University has elected litigation partner Theodore V. Wells Jr. to its board, the Harvard Corporation, as part of the expansion begun in 2010 under President Drew Faust.

The Corporation is the board that has the fiduciary responsibility with regard to Harvard University's academic, financial, and physical resources and overall well-being, pursuant to the University's charter. Chartered in 1650, the President and Fellows of Harvard College (the Corporation) consisted until recently of the President, the Treasurer and five Fellows. In December 2010, a plan was approved to expand the Corporation from seven to thirteen members over several years. Ted was elected as part of the expansion of Harvard's governing board from seven to thirteen members. Ted's initial term is for six years.

Ted, a graduate of Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School, will join the board on January 1.
