Kannon Shanmugam Discusses Supreme Court Advocacy and Other Topics on Movers, Shakers & Rainmakers Podcast

Litigation partner Kannon Shanmugam was featured in a wide-ranging interview on the January 16 episode of the Movers, Shakers & Rainmakers podcast. In the episode, “Mastering Supreme Court Advocacy and Pioneering Leadership,” Kannon discusses his study of the classics as ideal preparation for a career in the law, his path to becoming an appellate and Supreme Court lawyer, memorable cases he’s argued, his approach to mentorship, his style as an oral advocate and other topics.
“I like to think that my style as an advocate reflects my authentic style,” Kannon observes. “I really prize being candid, both in the courtroom and out of the courtroom … If you adopt an artificial style, it comes across as artificial.”
