Paul, Weiss, Advance, Condé Nast and Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts Collaborate on Virtual Pro Bono Clinic

Paul, Weiss hosted its third virtual pro bono clinic for low-income artists with Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA), Advance and Condé Nast. Attorneys provided limited-scope legal advice on a variety of issues affecting artists, including copyright and incorporation matters and licensing agreements. Attorneys from VLA began the event with a Zoom training on limited-scope legal clinics for artists and freelancers, followed by attorney meetings with each client. This clinic was greatly impactful, as artists and freelancers are particularly affected by COVID-19 closures and re-openings and are in great need of legal assistance.

The Paul, Weiss team included litigation counsel Darren Johnson, corporate associates Natalie Affinito, Jamiesyn Aliano, Matthew Battaglia, Zachary Blumenfeld, Shruti Chopra and Emily Hong, entertainment associate Nicole Albano and litigation associate Hilary Udow. The clinic was coordinated by pro bono attorney Emily Donohoe.
