Tong Yu Recognized Among Asian Legal Business Dealmakers of Asia

Corporate partner Tong Yu was spotlighted as one of the top dealmakers in Asia by Asian Legal Business in its “Dealmakers of Asia 2022” list. The publication highlighted Tong’s representation of funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management in a number of transactions, including their acquisitions of Mitsubishi Material’s aluminum business and Mitsubishi Chemical’s thermal and emission control materials business, as well as other transactions. Other work highlighted includes Tong’s representation of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, the largest financial institution in Japan, in its multiple debt offerings worth $9 billion collectively last year.
This is Tong’s second year on the list, which recognizes the top corporate lawyers in Asia each year who “overcome challenges to deliver deals for their clients.”
