New York City REIT Wins Proxy Fight With Activist Hedge Fund

Paul, Weiss represented the board of directors of commercial real estate REIT New York City REIT, Inc. in its successful proxy fight with activist hedge fund Comrit Investments 1, LP. NYC REIT shareholders rejected Comrit’s bid to nominate a new director to the REIT’s board in place of lead independent director Elizabeth Tuppeny. Tuppeny was reelected to the board on May 31.
