Krishna Veeraraghavan Notes Board-Level Impact of U.S. Debate on Unequal Share Structures in Financial Times Corporate Governance Column

Corporate partner Krishna Veeraraghavan spoke with the Financial Times about the debate surrounding the increase in dual-class share structures over the last decade and voting advisory firm Institutional Shareholder Services’ new policy recommending against directors at U.S. companies with unequal voting rights. In “Why Europe is the next battleground for investor control,” Krishna notes that while companies with dual-class share structures can simply ignore their voting public, the policy is “another point of pressure,” given board directors’ sensitivity about votes against their work.
