On June 6, corporate partners Kyle Seifried and Cullen Sinclair participated in panel discussions as part of The Deal Economy 2023: Predictions and Perspectives conference in New York City. Kyle spoke on “The State of the M&A Market: Where are Successful Dealmakers Finding Opportunities?” which covered various issues impacting valuations; current pricing; and what the market can expect through the end of the year, among other topics. Cullen spoke on “Private Equity: Continuing to Invest for Growth and Value Creation,” which explored the impact of rising acquisition finance costs and reduced debt availability; the current fundraising environment; and the use of partnerships, co-investing and structured equity investments to remain flexible and creative, among other topics.
The one-day conference brought together senior corporate executives, private equity and institutional investors, and corporate advisers to explore the opportunities, obstacles and risks dealmakers face in the current environment and how to navigate through them.
