Ariel Deckelbaum and Chuck Googe Featured in Variety’s Legal Impact Report

Corporate partner Ariel Deckelbaum and entertainment partner Chuck Googe were featured in Variety's 2015 Legal Impact Report, which spotlights the top lawyers in the entertainment industry.

Ariel was recognized for, among other things, serving as co-lead counsel for Time Warner Cable in its terminated $45.2 billion stock-for-stock merger with Comcast as well as for representing hedge fund executives Wesley Edens and Marc Lasry in their purchase of the Milwaukee Bucks from Senator Herbert Kohl. "When we advise clients, we're always trying to think beyond the legal implications of what we do," said Ariel.

Chuck was recognized for, among other things, his role in William Morris Endeavor's $2.4 billion merger with IMG Worldwide, as well as his work with Universal Parks and Resorts regarding a new theme park in Beijing to satisfy the growing demand in China for entertainment destinations. Chuck noted that entertainment lawyers must be able to "adapt deal terms and the contracts to keep up with the changes in technology."
