Corporate partner Robert Schumer was selected as Dealmaker of the Week by AmLaw Daily on February 14 for his work for Time Warner Cable in connection with the recently announced sale to Comcast in an approximately $45.2 billion all-stock transaction. AmLaw Daily noted that Robert had been leading Paul, Weiss's efforts on behalf of Time Warner in connection with a potential sale since last summer, helping the client sort through a variety of options. "We've been involved from Day One and we obviously looked at all of our options to maximize shareholder value," said Robert, who previously advised the company in its $17 billion acquisition of Adelphia Communications Corp., its split from its former parent in 2009, and its $3 billion acquisition of Insight Communications in 2012
